trying to organise a reunion in England
It is actually 10:00 am as I am in England
So for those of you that are interested I am thinking that a reunion in England sounds like a good idea. I have tried on several occations to contact the base, as a reunion at our old high school sounds fun. Now as a English bird who has only ever lived in the States for 15 months when I was a teenager, I found the lady "Sharon" I spoke to had an extrememly strong American accent that I struggled to understand. I think that sounds funny because I thought all Americans sound the same but that is really not true as I found out. Any way I digress. Getting to speak to the approriate person is proving a struggle. I get that the chances of a reunion on an American airforce base after 911 are extrememly slim but I am a true believer in the philosophy that unless you ask you will never know. The biggest problem I am coming up against is getting to speak to the correct person so at least when I get a NO it will be from the person with the "NO" authority! I think that, if there is anyone who has access to the base captain? and they are reading this get him to call me! LOL Any other ideas would be good. Maybe we should just organise a school reunion for all of us Lakenheath Alumni that are still in the UK. Anyone with any bright ideas as to how we can get this off the ground please contact me :-)
Cheers Estelle
ps try to over look the spelling errors please :-)
