Profile

What was your graduating class year? If you were a dormie, which one?
1988
What years were you at Lakenheath?
1970-1988
Where are you now, and where have you been?
I have been practicing law in Dallas since 1995. Attended law school at UT-Austin from 1992-95. Undergrad at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia 1988-1992. England before that.
What's new with you? Work, play, relationships, family?
I met my husband in law school, and when I graduated I followed him to Dallas. We married in 1996 and now have three kids: Finn is 7, Theo is 5, and Sophie is 3. My brother Richard (86) also lives in the DFW metroplex with his wife and three kids. My parents (both teachers at LHS -- Richard and Mary Margaret McGowan) retired from teaching and left England in 1999. They moved to North Texas to be near their six grandchildren (they could care less about me and Richard!) It's very strange -- after living in tiny villages in Suffolk and Norfolk for almost 30 years -- my whole family is now in Dallas (about as far from England as you could get!) Sometimes we miss England, but it's nice to all be so close to each other.

My husband and I are both lawyers. I work for a big firm and specialize in appeals. He has his own firm and does commercial litigation and bankruptcy. He also writes music for film and television.
What did you do between Lakenheath and now?
Ummm... see above.
Name some old Lakenheath classmates you have contact with and will tell about this site.
Arlene Tuttle Meyer, Melissa Rogers King, Alicia Miller Catarino, De Mills Peris, Mike Shields, Dave Matthews, Troy Holroyd, Richard McGowan

Anne,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner! I don't get over to this page very often... much better at responding on facebook... are you there?

Anyway, I really enjoyed the photos of your family! It looks like you are doing great! I am so happy for you! It is amazing how many times you have crossed my mind over the years! Nice to know where you are and what you are up to!

I am living in the suburbs of Mobile, Alabama (moved there following Hurricane Katrina... was living in the area hit by the storm)... I am teaching at a local university. My husband is a classical musician. He plays with the Mobile Symphony, Mobile Opera, Pensacola Symphony, and Pensacola Opera.

We will celebrate our 11th anniversary in a week! Other than that, not much news on this front...

Nice to be back in touch!

Hugs...

Hi Anne! My name is Debbie Bill. Well that is how folks from LHS know me. Actually am now Deborah Bill Gungoll. I am an 82 grad from LHS. But so remember having your dad as one of my teachers! I love how this site is bringing everyone closer together and connecting us all! I live in Enid, OK now. We were in OKC till my husband took a job here in the DA's office. He grew up here. (I on the other hand am an East Coast girl and all my family are in VA, MD and NY) He has his own practice now and I am a stay at home mom to our three precious children- Mary Elizabeth 8, Rebekah 6 and Andrew 4. Again, just wanted to say hello! take good care--Debbie, Deb or Deborah :)

Anne, Great to hear from you. Let me know about a McGowan rendevous. We are still getting settled in, but hope to be here for awhile, as my folks are close by in Boerne. If you ever head down SA way for Fiesta TX, Seaworld, the Riverwalk, etc. you have a place to stay! Patrick

Great hearing from you, too! Yeah, I need to get some more (and better) pics uploaded on this site. Most of the fun, though, is reconnecting (and looking at all the pics the motivated folks are posting!). Mark Rachuy actually scanned two yearbooks, so that was fun going thru one of those the other day. I'm sure I have the yearbook on a bookshelf in the house, but was fun looking at it online, nonetheless! I do have some hilarious pics from our MUN trip, though! If I ever dig those up, I'll post them (but I don't have one of Joe Adams playing ping pong in a g-string, fortunately)!

No kidding, I live in Stonebridge too. My neighbors kids go to Boyd. We are building a new house just outside of Stonebridge so my daughter won't go to Boyd but who knows by then there could be several more schools.

An electronic commodities exchange is a place where companies and individuals can trade futures on commodities like energy (oil, natural gas, power), agricultural products (coffee, sugar, OJ), financial Futures products (Russell 1000, Russell 2000), etc., via computers over the Internet.

As for my kids, the one on my lap in the picture is our 4 year old daughter, and our son on the right is now 10 months old.

You're killing me!!! Yeah, it was a tough year. I had originally deployed for six months only to be extended for another six for the 'Baghdad Surge'. One really doesn't fully understand freedom until it's taken away. Coming back home was the best day in my life!!!

Anyway, Adam is deployed in the 'Stan... should be back before Christmas. He's doing well... keeping his chin up and his head down. I'll let him know you asked after him...

By the way... you have a beautiful family. Please pass on my best to all... Mom, Dad, and Bro!!!
