Where are you now, and where have you been?: When we left England we moved to Maine for 18 months, then my father started having heart trouble so we moved to S.A. We have been here every since. I use to work for La Quinta and traveled the east coast as their customer service eastern division rep. When that dream job ended I went back to school and started on the road to becoming a teacher. i eneded up becoming a certifed pharmacy tech instead. When I was diagnosed with a 10 lb tumor I needed to find a job I could sit at so that is where I am now. I book appt, etc for military personnel and families. It is my closest connection the military. It makes me feel as though I am doing something worth wild. I am glad I found this job.
I live in San Antonio. I schedule appts for active and retired military personnel and their families. I just started working for WTU at Brooke-Army Medical center. I just love my job. My other email address is mrramirez@live.com

What's new with you? Work, play, relationships, family?: After the docs found my tumor I learned I wasn't ever going to have children. At the time my husband and I were trying to have a child. The toll of the tumor, no children in our future and money problems with hospital bills and etc my 10 year relationship came to a crashing hault. We eventually divorced. One would think that was that - well...he kept coming back until we just decided what the hell !! So we are reunited and have been ever since. We are living, loving and having fun in SA with our 2 year old simense big blue eyed cat named Meme. Those of you who remember my brother "little Joe" Trevino has been working as GS since he was 19 years old. He recently returned from Afganistan (sp) from a 6 month tour as a civilian doing something I don't know. He currently works at Wilford Hall on the BRAC committee. He is a computer guy you know. He has been marrried for more years than I can remember and has four wonderful children. Two boys and two girls. All children have Texas names - Girl-Dallas Marie 12 years old. Boy-Tyler Richard 10 years old. Girl-Odessa Ann 8 years old and finally boy-Denton Cole 7 years old.

What did you do between Lakenheath and now?: When we left England we moved to Maine then my Dad retired in SA. Been here every since. i travel whenever I can. I have enjoyed my life. I have a new appreciation to life and don't sweat the small stuff since my tumor was removed. That time in my life was sad, hard and unsure. Now I have a new way of looking at life.

Name some old Lakenheath classmates you have contact with and will tell about this site.: I have lost all my emails...but I have spoken with Tracey Viets, and once spoke with Jeanne Courtney. I speak with Tom Morin and emailed Tom Miguel for awhile before my old computer crashed and I lost my addresses. Jane McArdle and I email back and forth. I spoke with Ricky (sorry, Rick) Zarder and his wife a couple of times. I have enailed Kelly Russell but haven't heard from her. Diane Angus and Susan Courtney are among my email buds. I valued those friendships to this day and have such fond memories of my (our) time in England.

Perhaps we should give it a year or two before we plan another reunion. I heard that the turn out for St. Louis was small...maybe because they've been having them every year? My daughter graduates high school next year so maybe 2010? We'll have to see if there's any interest. Take care!

Someone I know from Pasadena just moved to SA - her name is Cathy Hight - she was AF reserves and just became active. She's a nurse working with returning vets, I think...so if you run into her say 'hi.' She worked at the Pasadena Public Health Dept at the same time I did.

Anyway, glad to hear you're in good health and seeing life in a new way. I agree with you that our time in Lakenheath was special and like no other! Hopefully we'll get together at a reunion some day. Take care, Kelly
