Sammy has also started his own sporting activity and is now enrolled in a gymnastics class 1x a week. This is from his first week, he loved it. We are all laughing at the end cuz Nathaniel was laughing at Sam's booty!

Nathaniel had his first Karate tourney today. We had a lot of fun although we had to get up at the crack of dawn! Anyhow, here is his sparring video, he really handed it out to this kid. That's my boy! In case you can't tell which one he is with all the gear on, he's the one with the black gloves on (and the one who landed the most kicks and punches, duh).

Samuel Wyatt Covington - Born Three Years Ago Today!

I guess we could call him Sammy 3.0 now:-)

Here are some pics and videos from the evening festivities at the Covington house...

The official camofluage belt ceremony for Nathaniel (he was so proud - as are we).

Here is a cool pose:

We went to a book signing the other night for my boss' wife. She has just authored a new book (check it out at www.vickikuyper.com). Anyhow, the event was held at a Chandler Christian bookstore where the boys found these cool Bob the Tomato and LarryBoy outfits. Sorry, we know they're spoiled but we couldn't resist, how cute are these?

Nathaniel wouldn't smile because he said "Larryboy is a super-hero and when they are after bad guys they don't smile." I guess he didn't look at the expression on the shirt:-)

What was your graduating class year? If you were a dormie, which one?
1989
What years were you at Lakenheath?
1986-89
Where are you now, and where have you been?
Currently live and work in Phoenix, AZ. Have moved back and forth between AZ and NM since graduation.

Actually had a chance to make it back to the UK last April, although not back to the Lakenheath area. Still, it felt nostalgic!
What's new with you? Work, play, relationships, family?
Not a lot new, been an exec. with a publishing association for close to two years now. Enjoying the beauty of the desert (can you say 70 degrees in January!).
What did you do between Lakenheath and now?
College, Marriage (Christina - 13 years), Kids (Nathaniel - 6, Samuel - 3), served on a few non-profit boards (www.matt25clovis.com), managed a retail operation, contributing editor for magazine, moved to New Mexico and back to Arizona twice. Recently started learning guitar (I hate the F chord!).
Name some old Lakenheath classmates you have contact with and will tell about this site.
Brandy Springstubbe (although she is already on here)

The Only Constant...

...is change, or so they say. How have you changed over the last 10, 15 or 20 years? It is amazing to me as I look back over the years (my how they have flown) at the events that I would guess have most dramatically led to changes in my understanding of who I am and how I relate to the world around me. Here is a quick breakdown of some of the milestones: 1) An awakening to my need for a relationship with my Creator. 2) At 18 years old, reuniting with my biological father whom I hadn't known sin… Continue

Would You Do It All Over Again?

If you could turn back the hands on the clock, would you take a 'do-over' on high school? I guess for me there would be reasons why I would, but then again there would also be important reasons not to. Of course, hindsight is always 20/20 right? I mean, for starters, I would take back that delu… Continue

Bertolli is the Best!

Have you ever had a Bertolli dinner? I'm telling you, this is as good or better than some Italian restaurants I've eaten at. 10 minutes on medium heat, throw in a good salad on the side and a glass of Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc and I am talking a great meal. G… Continue

Do you remember when we got of work at the Burger Bar and my dad drove us home and the window began to roll down. And then it rolled up? I don't know why I just remembered that. We joked it was the poltergeist. Anyway-Funny how time goes bye so fast. Sarah

Hi Michael! Thanks for replying! I remember Brandy! She was really nice. We were in student council together, I think. Yes, that was quite a bus ride. We moved to Feltwell the next year and the shuttle was much better. I bet you guys stay hoppin' with 2 boys!
