Hello Jeff! Good to hear from you. Sounds like live is good. It must be nice to have the AF retirement. I only stayed in 12 yrs, and have been a civilian in San Antonio since '94.
I've been married 26 yrs, and have three girls, 23, 19, and 17. The youngest has one yr of H.S. left, then it's empty nest - something I'm not looking forward to.
Drop me a line sometime: hrunger@gmail.com

Hey Debbie; thanks for your email. Thankfully, we survived Fay unscathed by the floods. The water came up to about 5 ft. from our back door, but didn't get in. Our house was built up high, so we were lucky. The water at the bottom of our backyard was around 5 ft. deep, but is receding now. Many, as you've seen weren't so lucky. Lots of folks have water damage to their houses and are suffering the pains of "getting back to normal." Things are slowly getting back to normal. I'm not sure yet about Sep 6, but if you could email me where you guys will be at the Marriott, I might be able to come over. It would be great fun to see you and catch up with you all. Thanks again for your email.

Best Regards,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Rob Stamper is coming to Orlando on Aug 25 - Sept. 13th. We are having a get together with Lancers from Florida on Sept. 6th. Did you hear about it? So far, I think Leslie, Angela Walden, Larry Riebah, Nick Minjarez, Patty Logan & Kevin Solomon will be there! Not sure about any others, but I remember you were in Florida and thought maybe you and your wife would like to join all of us! It would be great seeing everyone again. Been a long time since San Diego! He will be at the Marriott Cyress Harbour in Orlando. I have the number if you are interested!

How did you and your family do with this Storm Faye this week? Melbourne got hit hard!

Still so charming. No, I wasn't affected by the hurricane EXCEPT that in California (which you once told me stands for Come And Life In Florida) we didn't have loud storms. I still freak out with the loud thunder claps! Yeah, I'm gonna be 50 but Wendy was kind enough to remind me that I was one of the "youngest" in graduating at 17. Love her, mean it. I'm not victim at all to depression about being 50. Laugh if you will but I last had the age cringies when I turned 23 - no longer a teenager. Vegas is going to be so much fun. 14 gals who I've loved and laughed with for...well....ages. No tattoos but I'm pretty sure I shall make a scene somewhere! As long as I hear, "shut UP" when I reveal my age, I'm good. Thanks for the hug and kiss Right backatcha. I believe your birthday was in June, Cancer Boy?

Greetings. I'm in Houston now. Sorry we didn't get to have an extended pow-wow in Vegas, but loved seeing you again. How's by you?? I will be celebrating (!?) my 50th with my gal pals in Vegas this coming October - holy moly. Laura McDonald will be there. We'll raise a glass for you. Keep in touch, eh?

Aren't you just the "ladies man" :) I left you a message earlier--having a sentimental moment--alchohol induced :)

Moira; great to hear from you! Sounds like you have a very nice life and some accompished kids, who will go off and create their own life memories (and maybe some expoits they will shudder to think about...I never wanted to know with my kids).
Lets see. I left LHS and went to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, then joined the Air Force and had a 24-year career. My last assignment was here in Melbourne, FL. I retired here (retired into my second career) and am continuing what I did in the Air Force as a civilian contractor. I'm a flight test director on one of the Air Force's surveillance aircraft (called Joint STARS). It's great fun, good people, and no desk (most of the time). All pre-requisites for me to keep working. I married when I was 22. Had two girls (now 23 and 25). Got divorced. Remarried a gal from Australia, and have been married now for 19 years. I've been lucky to have been around good people that seem to have brought the best out of me. I couldn't expect anymore from my life and I hope it just keeps getting better.
It sounds like you are a caring person who likes doing things for other. Fundraising must be a tough job, but rewarding. And impacting environmental policy sounds interesting as well (I recycle...are you impressed?)
Take care and keep in touch!
All the best to you and your family.
Jeff
