Profile

What was your graduating class year? If you were a dormie, which one?
1989
What years were you at Lakenheath?
1979-1983 & 1986-1989
Where are you now, and where have you been?
After graduating from LHS I went to Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. After graduating from ESU I went to Austin, Texas for graduate school in biochemistry. After graduating from UT my wife and oldest son, Cathey and Ethan, moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for two years. We then moved to Oswego, New York for two years. Around the time we moved to New York my wife had our twins, Ryan and April. After two bloody cold years in Oswego, we have landed in Warrensburg, Missouri where we have been for almost six years.
What's new with you? Work, play, relationships, family?
What's new? I attempt to teach biochemistry at the University of Central Missouri. Cathey is going to graduate school part time and working at the County Court house. My children are 11, 7, and 7 years old. Our lives are pretty boring on a day to day basis and my children let me know that. We have done some fun things. Cathey and I went to Vegas last summer for Rob Whiteley and Ann Hickmans wedding. A good time was had by all. As a family we like to go camping and did quite a bit of it when we lived in Utah. Recently we have been to Devils Tower, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Colorado Rockies, and various places in Missouri. I enjoy snowboarding, canoing, rafting, hiking, cooking, watching UT sports and drinking the odd tasty beer. I see James 4-5 times a year and we are going to attend the reunion in Denver.
What did you do between Lakenheath and now?
Read above.
Name some old Lakenheath classmates you have contact with and will tell about this site.
Ted Ruybal
Rob and Ann Whiteley

Ha! I used to play french horn at Feltwell with Ted. Would love to get in contact with him again. George and I are still friends. I also stay in touch with Ryan Arellanes and James Janovec.
Just drove through Missouri on my way out to CO. We got stuck in some crazy storms. Tornadoes and hail everywhere.
I remember you. I was O'Neill's step-daughter.

Hi! I really like Missouri, with 5 boys and all the camping you could ever want! I have to admit that I had already been coming to Missouri since I was little for summer vacations to see my extended family here, so I was a little Missourified from my youth. The boys also love fishing with their new grandpa in his pond across the street, and their 12 acres to roam on. I guess Missouri is in my blood and my new husband was born and raised in southern Mo.
Warrensburg is pretty nice too, I used to live there for 7 years. It's nice to have a small town to grow up in for the kids, it always seemed like a small town on base. They do get more opportunities sports wise, as you said, and it's close enough to KC to take your spouse out for a day. Have fun at the reunion this week!

Jason! I haven't heard your name since I was going to UT and still being stupid! Would you believe I finally stopped going out with jerks and married my Lakenheath sweetheart? Your family is gorgeous! I just joined, and I look forward to hearing from you! Sandy (Dombrowski) Barker
