Those are some good pics....It was good that you got to use a structure to train in. It is getting harder and harder these days to burn with all the red tape that you need to go thru. We on occassion will do a live burn in an old structure but we also have a fire training center too, which is nice since we can burn whenever. Glad that you got to learn....that is the time to do it. Take care and stay safe

Well welcome to the service and brotherhood. I can still remember when I started.....lol We have FF1 and 2 here and the state went to also have them both IFSAC (national recognized), which was a good thing to do. As a new person, just get as much training as you can, pay attention to your officers and trust your instincts....your officers are good, but they can also make mistakes too. When I was new, My capt told me, do what I tell you to do, but just remember, I can kill you to.....use your instincts and if you have a doubt on something, let your officer know.....you may be saving him too. I have had that happen to me at times on both ends. It is an absolute blast though. I am a paid 911 dispatcher with the PD so I know what your wife did as a officer and dont blame ya for worrying. My family is really in the fire/ems wife and I are in it, my dad and sis are also in it and my sis and mom are also RN's lol I got a uncle that is a Fire Capt with Philly Fire....he is the one that got me hooked on it.
I have been on 15 yrs as volly and love it and always looking for more training...can never learn enough, As a Chief officer, I spend more time outside doing command, but still at times will go in......I love it in there.....
Take care, stay safe and most important HAVE FUN with it
