The swim meet was fun but long. No we are done with having kids now we will just spoil our grand children then send them home.
Ill ask my dad if he remembers your uncle next time we talk.
The only one I rember is Patrick. I'm sure i knew of the others but i'm getting old and my memory aint what it used to be and it never was to good. Patrick had a speech impedament. He went to project Bold at the same time Adam and I did. I have pic posted on my page of the trip to the Alps. Tim Kieseleski was there as well. Did you know tim he graduated with you? Any way I was a pritty big jerk to Patrick because of his speach. He got tierd of it and told me to stop and when i didn't he put me on my back with one of his martial arts moves and asked again for me to stop. I did and we became friends until his fmily got transferd. I used to go to his house and help him practice his martial arts stuff. I helped by holding up a pad for him to hit or kick and spent most of the time with my eyes closed afraid he would hit me. He was a life leason that taught me not to judge a book by its cover. He showed alot of self control not to go off on the jerks like me that picked on him. Most of which he could have hurt easily.
Do you Know Carole Temper. We took art togeather and shared a intrest in poetry. Karen Stover was in your class and i think after graduation she stayed in the UK? did you know her? I played soccer with David Kerr, Steve Ando, Donald Sackett from your class. Do you remember them.
Glad your getting some time with family. If yours is like mine other than immediate family weddings and funerals are the only times we seem to see each other. That's some what of a military brat thing too with family scattered across the country.
Is your uncle still living? What was his name? My dad was a pilot and then ran the maintenance and repair department for the F-4 phantoms. He my know your Uncle sense they obviously worked at lakenheath at the same time.
The NCO club may be were we saw each other a little. I remember sneaking in sometimes with my friend Adam. Do you remember Adam (budzinski sp?) Morgan? He has a page on this site as well.
The beach is nice. We used to go all the time in NC. My wife is a beach/mountain person as well. She likes the beach but wants the water temp in the 78+range. That's to hot for me. plus then you have to deal with the jelly fish. I'm fortunate to have the job I have as a forester. The thought of having to work inside and see the same four walls and same people all the time drove me pursue a job in forest management. I get paid to do all the things you mentioned.
We like WV so far. been here 1.5 yrs now. Nice neighborhood and nice neighbors mean allot. The mountains are beautiful and there are plenty of out door activities available. The down side is some of the benefits of larger towns ain't available. The academics and sports for the kids are not at as high a level. But you don't have to lock your doors at night, or worry about getting shot downtown after dark, or that sort of thing.
We have three kids and about 7 yrs left until we are empty Nester's. I have 4 girls and the youngest 2 are boys. I have 2 grand kids, one of each. Victoria is my baby girl ad s 16 now. Justus is my oldest son (14) and Noah is the baby (11yrs old).
We spent 12 hrs at a swim meet today. About an hour one way to get there (that's local for around here). Its the last of the summer and a big deal. They have Olympic officials there. Two local kids actually went to the Olympic time trials this year. another full day tomarrow as well. Most Mondays I'm glad to get back to work so i can get some rest.
Well enjoy your family while you can. My wife and i talked about needin to make the rounds with my aunts and uncles while we can. They aint getin any younger. MY mom is one of 6 (the only girl) and my dad is one of 5.
Well it's bed time for bonzo. (remember him?)
Todd
Don't every apploigize for putting family first! I know its the polite southern thing to do though. Plus don't ever take me to seriously you might start a trend and then I wouldn't know how to relate to people anymore. You weren't a snob quite the opposite you were always friendly to me our paths just didn't cross that often. I was a learning not to be shy at that point in my life and i think most people these days would be shocked to hear i ever was. My dad was and still is quite over bearing as well. Being in the dorms was the best thing for me at the time. It alowed me the freedom to become myself much more than I would have had at home. I think i have always been out going and waas frusterated at home because of the requirment to fit in to the mold of an officers kid. All my best friends were NCO kids and that irritated my dad. Iv'e always believed that if you have class and carecter you don't have to prove it to anyone. Its just who you are! Where are you considering moving to?
