Profile

What was your graduating class year? If you were a dormie, which one?
1995, baby!
What years were you at Lakenheath?
1991-1995
Where are you now, and where have you been?
I went back to the US and attended college in my home-state of Oregon, but petered out after earning my 2-year degree. As a lot of these stories go, I met a boy in 1997 and decided I liked him enough to get leg-shackled, which we did in 2002. He's Canadian, so after a lot of deliberation and waiting through numerous bureaucratic processes I moved up here to Beautiful BC and I have lived here ever since. It's gorgeous -- come visit!
What's new with you? Work, play, relationships, family?
I am a cog in the big ugly corporate machine: I am a store manager for Starbucks, and it is pretty awesome. No kids at the moment, just a cat named Smokey.
What did you do between Lakenheath and now?
In no particular order: went to school, became a working stiff, got fatter, fell in love, and learned (and continue to learn) many powerful lessons!

what a hoot seeing those pics! thanks for the reading recommendations-- i'm currently boycotting the 'kite runner' for the sole fact that everyone says i should read it. but i'll take you up on your advice for the other.

i have to say that i, too, have gotten hooked on some kitch. (lee child, anyone?) but, what red-blooded woman could resist a reacher? :)

Hi Debbie!
I sent you an e-mail couple of days ago, did you receive it? Great seeing you again in London in June. Hope your European Grand Tour was everything you expected and more. Looking forward to a full report! G.Albert

Great pics...they definately take me back. I'll have to dig through mine now & see if I have any. You mentioned geometry...oh, the conversations we had :) It sounds like you are living it up in Canada...I hear it is beautiful up there. You'll have to add some scenic shots to your slideshow. C~ya!!

Things are going well. How are you doing? It's funny seeing all of these old pictures. I'm glad someone still has some. I just recently found some that I'll have to scan in and post on this web site. Glad to see all is well with you. Take it easy.

Well, I'm currently an AVP at JPMorgan. We act as an administrator for pension funds and endowments that invest in the private equity industry. It's definitely an interesting field to be in. My wife and I have been married for almost three years (been together for over seven), and have no kids (no plans for any anytime soon either).

My job is actually taking me to the UK (Channel Islands, Jersey) for a year assignment starting some time in April, so that will be an interesting transition since my wife will be staying behind. Jersey doesn't exactly have the same nightlife as NYC, so I can't blame her.

The NJ Turnpike has a reputation for being a bit on the odorous side. Not exactly the place where roses flourish if you catch my drift. Have you kept in touch with many people from the LHS days? I've only seen one person in our class since I left Lakenheath, and that was Brandon Williams in Tucson back in '96. Played several games of pickup basketball, and then never heard from him again. Not exactly an easy task for us brats.

Of course I remember you. I have just been under the radar, choosing to resurface after the big 3-0. Why I waited until then I have no idea. Anyhow, how are things in BC? I hear it's pretty up there, unlike the NJ Turnpike, which I was on this weekend.
