I saw the comment you left for Chris Dragich and was wondering if you ever came across my father at Mildenhall. He is Lt.Col (R) David Miller. He was the Dep Chief of Maint and then moved to Logistics for the 100th in '91 or '92. Just curious.
Thanks,
Scott
This is certainly an exciting time. I will not be going to Denver but I was very happy to be invoved in electing who will be representing us from Maine. I did phone banking in NH and ME and was a co-captain for our town caucus where I spoke in support of Obama.
The caucus procedure is quaint when the numbers aren't huge, but it was very lengthy and cumbersome this year.
I really feel like the country is on the verge of a real sea change like we had in the 60's and 70's. I am going to stay involved and do what I can until November.
I'm also interested in trying to raise awarreness of the health risks we brats were exposed to while living on military bases. I know your family has dealt with cancer. Check out the TCE Blog and let me know what you think. Pease AFB is now a superfund site and Lakenheath has had TCE groundwater contamination.
My concern is for our fellow brats who may not have decent health insurance and should be screened for early detection.
Well, it's a beautiful morning here and I'm going to get my lab Una (like the name? out for a walk. Hope to hear from you when you have time.
Karen
Yeah, I think my Mum knows where Tracy is. Her mum passed away some time ago and as you may, or may not know, she was my Mum's very best friend. I'll see her tomorrow for Mother's Day and I'll ask how we might find her.
Nice to hear from you. I See, Woodlands way was the name of our neighborhood, thanks, for the memory. How did you end of right back in Lakenheath? England to So Dakota to So. Calif. were culture shock after culture shock. Then to top it off, I went to Corpus Christi Texas. People always ask me where I'm from. I speak, British slang, East coast slang,( My wife is from Rhode Island), Texas and Missouri southern slang, and finally the dull Calif. proper English poo poo. Its all fun. All shucks, I forgot afro American slang, and a little Spanish tilt. Lastly I read that you are very interested in American Politics. Where might you stand? I wonder- a strong good looking Irish (Catholic?) American Military (Air Force) Women. Have a wonderful week. What ever politics you like, you have my blessings.
BTW...My mom lives down the street from Wickham Park and I am usually there over that weekend every year because it is her birthday weekend but this year she is coming up here because I'm busy with school! I can't believe it!!!
Yeah, I hope I can attend. Frank Kelley will be sending out information as it becomes available. Are you going to be there? If so, I will probably see you in April.
